Bankruptcy FAQs
Will I need to go to court?
During the bankruptcy process, clients often wonder will I need to go to court?
In many cases, you will only need to go to one court hearing called the “meeting of creditors.” Usually, this will be a short and simple meeting in which the appointed trustee will ask you a few questions regarding your finances. Creditors are also allowed to ask you questions, although these questions are not allowed to be abusive or accusatory.
